I thought it would be neat if we had a works in progress section whereby we could post our works as we are create them. It would give us a small peek into each others creative processes and techniques. I, personally, work in both traditional and non- traditional ways so while most of my pieces end up looking cg, they may not always start out that way.
This piece is just a character I'm working on which was inspired by one of Brom's art pieces. I'm not sure if I will include it as a Sorche character or not, but anyway it was quickly sketched with my mouse.

Ok here was my first attempt at drawing an Angel, which you all have seen, 
And my second Attempt which is still just a sketch
And my 3rd attempt also still a sketch 
I just can not seem to get it quite right,...
My gilfriend and I where watching tv last night I was attempting no.4 which I have yet to scan in.
Mind you i am sketching these with still numb hands.
So it is a challenge.
So what I doing wrong exactly?

The first one has some nice detail in the wings and head, but I really like how the last one is coming along also.

Nice work, thunder. I like the slender look of the wings. Mine are always bulky and fluffy, so I have to literally force myself to think of seagulls. I love those long slender wings.

Hello everyone!
If anyone is willing to suggest on how I should colour this pic it'll be much appreciated.
Suggestions I'm looking for: colours to use, medium, style
And yes, I know she's out of proportion. The hand that's in the air is also retarded but I fixed it. If done in Photoshop (which most likely it will) I'll be streaching the canvas so that I can draw the rest of her.

for some reason blue and purple come to my mind... maybe because I've been playing to much WoW XD (Most of the elves have blue and purple there  ) And maybe some silver and gold for the jewels...

Yeah... I can see why you chose those colours johnnehrules lol. I think those colours came to my mind at one point. I think I also saw her in reds •_•? and I also pictured her with blonde hair. Dark blue hair sounds like a good idea. A friend of mine suggested to colour her skin a brown colour. I'm still thinking of how she should be coloured, style wise. Cell shading, airbrush shading or both? And also what medium to use.

Hey praedicante, I like "war changes nothing". I was thinking dark reds and blues for the background with flaming bolts (yellow and red) but the figures haven't really come to me yet, neat drawing though.

I do not have a wacom yet, so it with my logitech trackball.
And a lot of imagenation.
Though I may have to draw this freehand again but I want to tweak the wings a bit in PSP before going to freehand again
