Hey everyone... i need some help with getting my pictures ready to be printed in BIG sizes....
Basically i wanted to print some at 24 in x 36 in.... i had the res at 2048 x 15636 i think it was... and the printer said that for that resolution that it would come right out at 24x36 it was like 24x32 or somthing like that.... so i was hoping someone could help tell me how do get it to the correct resolution size for me... I tried putting the dimensions in Photoshop by doing it right at 24x36 In... but it wont let me... it stops at like 6 or somthing wierd like that.... so PLEASE HELP ME

Do you have a plotter that prints at such sizes or are you bringing your prints to a copyshop? Maybe you should give some information about the printer you use.

well it is called "photovision" they are a local company who do photographic prints.... the print that are done for me are all on actual photo paper.... so it is a real photo print and not like a paper u would use for a movie poster..... and basically they are capable of doing 24x36 but the guy said that my picture wasnt set up right in the res size for that size picture.... so he told me to try to change the size in photoshop... hope that answered our question

here is a link that outline "how to resize" [ link ] and if you are bringing to a local printer (ei: Target, Sam's Club, Walmart ect.) they need the resolution at 300 pixels per inch.
