I'm looking to buy a pair of monitors next month. I've always used 21" CRT displays, but they're friggin' huge and I'm afraid a pair of 'em will go right through the floor.
On the other hand, the price/performance ratio of flat screens doesn't seem worth it, plus having 21" screens has spoiled me for anything smaller.
As artists, which kind of display do you like best, especially how the screen image matches a printout?
Thanks!

If you play video games then CRT is the way to go... The refresh rate for LCD's are slower and you'll have visual "lag". But otherwise, for applications and creating art, LCD's are clearer and brighter....

My 2nd comment to this topic. CRT is history. Sharp, the world wide leader in LCD technowledgy, followed closely by Samsung, has anounced it will stop marketing CRT's in 2006.
Flat panel is here now and in the future. Plasma is on the way out. LCD will dominate for the next 5 years, then look for superior OLED and SED technowledgy to take the center stage. ( for all the advantages of LCD over CRT,I list them in my first comment)
