I posted a thread proposing we start a Q&A forum topic so that members can help each other with software issues and techniques. It could also be used for other art-related assistance as well. for it to work, volunteers would need to post their particular skills, help in building a FAQ, and commit to checking threads on a regular basis (allowing for their personal commitments of course.)
Craeonics had the excellent idea of starting a test thread to see what response it gets before asking Chaz to create a forum topic. So far, the following members have expressed interest in the idea:
Would these members, if they are willing to volunteer, please post their skill-sets? If I can get ten people on the list, I'll then start a new thread for people to post their questions, and we'll see how it goes.
Please also post here if you just have remarks or comments about this.
Thanks!

It's not directly art-related, but it does relate to the environment most of you work in.

Coyotelogic's list is so...impressive. growing jealous
Here's my list then:
1. Some Painter Classic. Not that good, but I could probably answer most questions.
2. Microsoft Picture it! Not that common a program, but I've fiddled around in it for a while.
3. General art questions, like colouring, composition, etc. I have some theory skill there, although there's probably someone else here who would do that better. *cough*stev*cough*
4. Scanning.
5. Anime style questions.
What I CAN'T do:
1. bryce
2. terragen
3. maya
4. animation
5. music
6. etc, etc, etc.

Seriously, though, I wasn't trying to thump my chest with that list. Notice there aren't any art programs there?
I was just letting ya'll know that even though I'm a newbie here, I still might be able to help with other stuff, like if you're having a system problem or are trying to put together a presentation in MS Office. Hopefully I'll be useful enuff that you'll put up with my ignorance about what you're expert in.
