Just a warning to the members we may be forcing membership before you are able to download. The reason for this is the sudden surge of bandwidth usage to this server. I had my host look into it and they reported 400 people downloading from the site at one time. I certainly do not see that many people signed up . So in order to control the bandwidth flow these restrictions may be put in place this month. Suggestions? Comments?
hehe SteV... its called "thread hijacking" it happens all the time in most forums, lol

That happens to all the threads But oh well. It doesnt look like restrictions will be needed for a while. We cleaned up the server and its back to normal. Plentttty of bandwidth to go around.

It's sad that someone would want to hack in and steal bandwidth. Someone must not have a life if they are doing things like that. However to stop non members from downloading I would think in order to download you would have to be a member (Not that I mind people downloading my work as long as they don't post them anywhere else then nothing will happen. Now if they did post them other places then someone will get hurt.)
Now my question is can a member who uploaded their art turn off the download option if we can then that would limit the problems. I had alot of people steal my work and it has been a problem for several years and I have talked about taking those who had tried to sell my work for profit to court (lawsuit).
But if we can turn it off then it would be good but I'm not sure if you can or not if so good. BTW no matter what those who steal will get what is coming to them.

Well, I guess you could put it in the Artwork for Sale section, but that would prevent non-stealing members from downloading too, of course. Another option is to watermark the pictures.
