Just a warning to the members we may be forcing membership before you are able to download. The reason for this is the sudden surge of bandwidth usage to this server. I had my host look into it and they reported 400 people downloading from the site at one time. I certainly do not see that many people signed up  . So in order to control the bandwidth flow these restrictions may be put in place this month. Suggestions? Comments?

Doubt that will control much cept make the 400 ppl sucking the bandwith just be members? hehe
but I never did see a problem w/ ppl having to be members to get the download.

Also. What if they all become members like Doreen says, and that is likely...
Maybe there is a way to make it work for you when they do become members.

Really not much you can do? when the contents of a site get to being better quality then obviously ppl will come, when ppl come wellllll then of course that begins the bandwidth problem? making them become members will not solve the problem I don't think cuz if they want the download bad enough they will simply just sign up and still grab the download along w/ your bandwidth...

Not really when you begin a site such as this you pretty much need to have a plan or when it finally becomes successful and takes off that's usually when it's killed cuz most can't handle it...

Course forcing a membership fee will bring in some moolah but then there will go half your contributers and then your back to square one w/ a site that has nothing much worth on it?

The problem was resolved. Turns out someone decided to hack our server and upload 33 gigs of anime... I wasnt a fan of anime before, now I really hate that stuff 400 gigs of bandwidth waisted because of the hack. Its great runnign a busy site

Wow, Chaz! You and I actually agree on something. I'm not a fan of anime either. Of course, I had to try and learn it and create my own style, just for the sake of diversity as an artist, but for the most part I'd rather do realistic fantasy anyday.

? the featured you posted by warsram, liquidd, Rinja, could be concidered by some to be Anime.... I don't think all anime is bad at all... as long as its not cutesy faces with wet eyes! Stylish anime is very cool, like Aeon Flux and Cowboy Bebop and the like... but most is pretty dull
