The deadline is past the works have been lined up and the udges have done their work. After all I think we can look back on a great contest with maybe even better submissions. Amazed by the quality which was far beyond our imagination.
The stuff actually already began with the first entry. vjevic's Summer made me fear that this would be the first and last entry. The quality was too good and I feared that many people wouldn't even start to create because there was nothing less to win. I was amazed as I saw the other entries flooding in afterwards. With no exception they were all great works and I was surprised so many artists were inspired enough to remix one of my works. But as always with a contest we have to choose a winner.
 1st Place - Vjevic (Summer remix)
Vjevic managed to totally rebuild the original wallpaper into a
work that's completely different. This because the wallpaper no longer is the full background for the work but only a part of it. Also bringing back the work to a 2D print for usage on a package makes this special. The work has a great summer feeling and great details.
 2nd Place - Nightdreamer (Blackhole)
Nightdreamer especially did us pleasure by making a work which is very much in my style. And which has it's purple greenish color. Yeah chaz likes that I can't help it either  The ombination of the figure and the artwork is good which makes the work not chaotic. Somehow the colors seem to work out great making this into a wonderfull piece well deserving a second place.
 3rd Place - jh2112 (Someone else's summer)
This surely is one killer piece. I think the work looks even better when you see it together with the original summer wallpaper. When I thought of Summer or even a remix of summer I don't think many should come out with this, but jh2112 did. The colors the placement and the repeature in this picture. Everything just works out right making this into a great work.
But of course we should not forget the other entries. jcmedia who managed to manip 3 of my works into one piece which still looks amazing, lachlan with his piece that was almost completely mirrored and still looking damn pretty with it's pink color, mastercylinder with his gargolyes with wallpaper texture looking at the same wallpaper. I still don't understand how he managed to do that. And of course our good old viro showing out his leet 2D skills with his remix.
Like I said before there was no dissapointing entry. Therefore we have decided to reward every participant with 1 month free subscription to AU. This means the third place winner will get 2 months of free subscription and a Life.force artwork, second place winner gets 3 months of free subscription and a Life.force artwork and the first place gets 6 months of free subscription and a Storm artwork.
Also because of this outstanding quality I decided to make a room to place the works at illianta.com (my personal website). Of course you will be credited for all your work. If you want to be placed or not placed let me know via IM.
