Am I even here?
I say hello, you say hi.
I say I love you, you reply.
I ask what you want to do.
You tell me you're tired.
I offer you a hug.
You tell me you're tired.
I want someone to talk to.
You tell me you're exhausted.
You've had a hard day,
so I sit here and listen.
Offer you affection.
You tell me you're too tired.
Then one day you tell me you miss me.
That you love and need me.
I think that, this cycle is broken.
That you've come back to me.
Few days after you're tired,
and not in the mood.
So I'll sit here waiting.
With you or by myself.
Trying to show you.
That I still care.
It's hard without you.
Even when you're here.
