Artist's Comment: When I first began work on this, I was moving along real good, and rthen I began setting up the amps and ran into some difficulties. I didn't want to begin working on them until I new where I was going to place the controls and such, and I really hadn't worked out how anything other than the popup was going to look visually in my mind. Since I was getting some headaches from that, I decided I'd do an Aston theme based on this, loosely. I pumped it out in about two days of work, no big deal. I was proud of it, but it wasn't very hard to do - even for me. I sent it to the amazing viro to be tested, since, unlike LS, Aston themes don't universally show up the same way. It was the very next day when a fateful thing happened. There was a power surge on the street. The entire street lost power for no more than three seconds. And in those three seconds my computer's hard drive got fried. After some tinkering around I finally came to terms with the fact that I could not force my computer to see my hard drive - I'm stubborn you know. After some consulting with my father I discovered that the computer was still under warranty, which means my hard drive would get replaced for free. Hooray for that. And lucky me, I'd sent off the only important files I had before the hard drive got fried. Now this is where the irony sets in. Irony, of a sort, anyways. The Aston theme which was to be based loosely on the LiteStep theme ended up providing the majority of the source images.
With that wonderful background info that you probably really couldn't care about, we get down to the main stuff. This theme is resolution independent. You've got your amp controls, uptime monitor, track scroller, taskbar, systray, and clock. Fairly simple, and that's the point. I included only what I use, nothing more. I was originally going to make several colour schemes of this so that if you didn't like the blue you could make it red or purple or some other colour, but once I began work on the other colours, I just.... didn't like them. So I got rid of them. It's still set up so that if you desire to keep the look of this and just change the colours you can, by copying the contents of winterimagesblue to winterimagesother_colour and changing the colours appropriately. there's a font template in there too so if you change your colours with something like Hovermatch you can use it as a reference for the colour_setting files in the config dir which you will ahve to modify for the new colour. Then you can do your final switching in one of two ways. manually edit var.rc and change the value for scheme to other_colour and then do a refresh, or make a shift-click context menu type thing that does that for you. However you wish to do it, if at all, is up to you.
The wallpaper in the screenshot is "Audislave v2" by dobby, which is not included with the theme. If you want it, it can be found at [ link ]
