Well that isn't that bad for your first attempt. Very good work. I would work with the eye better though.

Gross and disturbing. Which means your off to a good start The eye does look a bit cartoonish because of the way it protrudes I guess.

the textures and blending are awesome! i think the eye might look a bit better if it was less transparent on the upper left corner. still a great job though!
