Artist's Comment:
Kasager was an infant when he was left at the door of a humble blackmith named Parn and his wife Marel. Desperately wanting a child, but unable to conceive, the infant was a blessing to the kindly couple.
They took the infant in and named him Kasager (a sorchen name meaning "the light"). It was the perfect name for that which his arrival had brought. Kasager grew to adulthood in the home of his new parents, learning from both about life, but often questioned his true origin.
Curious, adventurous, and a fast learner, Kasager took to his father's trade rapidly and became proficient with a number of weapons in the process. His incredible inborn speed and keen eyesight, however, made the bow and arrow his weapon of choice.
Sensing that his son was destined for a greater purpose other than making weapons in their small village, Parn instructed Kasager to enlist in the Drom War (a war between Sorchens and the cunningly deceptive race of Drom invaders).
But fate had other plans for the young warrior.
