Artist's Comment: ( Forgive my pulpit ) I have never been so entranced by a creature before as I was by this young manatee... He lives at the Columbus zoo with his love... What you don't see in this picture, are the 3 foot scars down his left side from the rotor of a boat...hence why he now lives in captivity as opposed to free... You should go see one if you haven't been close to them before...you will never forget it.
