Thats actually really good for your first abstract. I like the whole design, and the stringy stuff. :D The bright blob in the middle looks kind of strange though, but I suppose it works :D It's a really good piece, you should be proud.

The colors just make the piece. It blows me away that this is your 1st abstract. Keep going, I think you got something.
