Artist's Comment:
This one I did shoot, and though certainly not professional quality I find it rather nice. The title is based on the language of flowers, an extrememely touchy matter of etiquette in the Victorian period. The wrong flower given on the wrong occasion was social ssuicide. Between 1850 and the late 1890s the carnation's meaning went from from pride to profound love to pride and beauty.

this is a beautiful shot...and quite professional in my opinion...the flower is a nice subject to shoot and you took a great deal of its essence and brought it into this shot.
