Quite a piece you've got here. Very interesting for a terrain image as you've said! To begin I'll say that this all looks as though it could be something on some other planet from some industrial age that was demolished or something. Like a disaster destroyed all the industrial everything on the planet and only the charred remains of the landscape is left. Not to mention that the way the terrain is set up it looks as though it could also be some sort of "no-mans-land" separation between two waring countries or something. Plus that land in the middle of the two bigger land masses looks like it could be a "dragons tail" that was bronzed and stuck into the river. Aside from all that though...
The terrain is really nice because it looks really distraught or in need of some restoration of sorts. The way the land actually flows together to form that stream is nice. Plus the unusual mountains in the background seem out of place at first, but it makes the picture that much more enjoyable to look at because it's such a "doomed" style of a picture. Nothing really much to say in terms of improvement. Maybe that you could do something with the sky, very lightly, like make it darker, or add some sort of light rust orange to it somehow or something. No matter though, it doesn't make the look of the picture that much lessened. Good job! |
