Well, I'll agree with you to a point. I really really do like this picture. The sky is absolutely wonderful! All the land is rendered beautifully as is the water in the river. Not to mention the distance of the picture looks realistic and the background land is especially well rendered too. Plus the shadows are nice as well. However where the land meets the water, (where there isn't shadow) looks a bit too much mechanical. So to speak that is. Basically where you can visibly see the union of land and water, it looks too obvious that you just threw in a "plane" of water on some "randomly" elevated land. Or at least land designed to make a river run through it. Anyway, it's nothing really bad, you just might need to take it into a photo editor with some distortion tools. (Probably one's that have "smudge" affects or "blur") That way you can make the water look more seamless and as if it's actually natrual water and as if it's a photograph and not a simple computer render. But despite the simple water problem it's a great picture! Very calming to look at. Excellent job! |
