How do you make most of these?

First I sketch out hte illustration on paper then I scan it into illustrator and basically redraw the whole thing in color in the program...Thanks for the interest in my work!!!

Gambit is the best! Very well done by the way, I dont understand vectors at all but the visual look of this is excellent!
