Joliath: Master WhiteMage
Born of noble blood in the land of Burstyn, young Joliath was afforded the best tutoring riches could buy. He excelled in all of his studies and as a reward, and although they were opposed against it, his parents indulged his wish to become an apprentice at Docarhelm. Docarhelm was stronghold to an Order of Mages located deep within the mountainous region of Cacia and the journey to it was steeped with peril.
However, his father was Captain of the king's personal guard and so the journey was made and Joliath was delivered to the stronghold by five of his father's most trusted and elite warriors. Joliath took to his apprenticeship with a vigor none of his mage masters had seen before and he quickly rose through the ranks. Eons passed and finally upon learning all that he could, Joliath emerged from Docarhelm as a wise and powerful Master White Mage. White Mages' magic centers around healing and protection spells, but Joliath also attained the ability of teleportation.
Using his new ability, he teleported back to his homeland only to find it decimated by a Drom (cunning and deceptive race) attack which had apparently taken place ages ago. His parents long dead and his home destroyed, Joliath began a journey to avenge his parents. His quest led him to many corners of Sorche' and eventually to the Drom homeworld where chronicles of his adventures became lost in the annals of time.
Both scholars and scribes alike failed to determine exactly what events transpired on Drom, but upon Joliath's return all noted a decidedly different change in him. Despite this change, Joliath proved invaluable in the war against the Drom.
By using his magic and knowledge of the invaders' weaknesses, he led armies through many successful battles and eventually halted the Drom invasion. For his part in the war, Joliath was crowned and given a kingdom. Joliath accepted this honor with reluctance, it was not his intention to rule. However, he knew he had only given Sorche' a brief reprieve from the onslaught of the Drom. They would come again.
By accepting this new role, he felt the kingdoms could be united and prepared for any future attack. So he ruled his kingdom and it prospered in peace for many years until a surprise Drom attack toppled it. Weakened by such a long period of inactivity and practice, Joliath's magic was no match for the Drom who used new found magic and technology.
Failing his kingdom and his heirs, Joliath fled and took to the life of a hermit. Using his time to hone his magic, Joliath vowed to purge Sorche' of the Drom once and for all. A vow which unfolds in the Sorchen saga.

You worked on the smoothness. Good job. Am I wrong when saying I see scanlines? Good piece. You have a good feeling for colors.
