(Excerpt from Chapter 1 of my novel, "Vionelle")

"It looks like a ship to me."

Cayden Coulter strained his eyes and laughed, "You're losing it, Eva. There's no way it's a ship."

"No, look!" Evalie Palisade insisted, reaching out her long, slender arm and tracing the shape in the sky. The two were lying on the Petrovian hillside just west of Vionelle watching as the clouds lazily trailed across the sky. That morning, there had been the threat of rain, but the weather had cleared up and was beautiful. "There's the bow and the stern. And that top part looks like a sail."

"You're reaching," Cayden shook his head and turned it to face his friend. He and Evalie had been close since they were children. He couldn't say that about anyone else. With her, he could be himself and speak openly about whatever he wanted. They were as different as night and day and had often been described as just that.

I've been wanting to draw these two for a while now. Here we have Evalie Palisade enjoying the Petrovian summer. She loves to gaze at the clouds and just relax. And Cayden Coulter...well, Cayden just loves to be with Eva! I was trying a few new things in Photoshop...found a grass tut!

Wow, this is amazing, the girl looks absolutely perfect! A bit of constructive critisizm though, the boy's facial features (nose, left eye, lips) stick out a bit and are kinda pointy from the rest of his face... otherwise its a great, great piece
