Artist's Comment:
Waves have crashed around me,

They have been over me, bringing me to my knees,

Under me, knocking me off my feet

Bruising and eroding my body

I've been formed into a beach stone

smooth

round

strong

white

hard

beautiful

Still a final tsunami of adversity is before me

Knocks me out cold, I'm on the floor crying

I pray for the healing of my battered soul

My Hands clench the sands like a robe

the sand just expells from between my fingers

My tears become the sea

Peace desends like a sunset

Calming the waters

I listen to the music of a sea shell

I hold it close to hear the spirit guide me

Revealing a new horizon

I am free
