Artist's Comment:
This is probably one of my least favorite of my concentration pieces (there's 12). I had originally had the idea of a really intricate painting, but time was short and so I had to settle for tempera on a 10 x 12 paper.
But I like the concept behind this one. A friend of mine told me that ravens like to steal things, and I remembered this being true. So I took my kleptomaniac and stuck him in a raven's nest. And considering the whimsical connection, I decided to make this painting cartoonish. If i could change it, I would add more items and make the picture very cluttered, but again, I didn't have enough time. The picture looks grainy because I happened to have some pearlescent tempera and added some sparkle to certain areas, however, it didn't show so well in the scan nor on the slide.
Comments are welcome and are appreciated.  Please do not tell me how to fix this, because great chances are that I won't ever pull the piece out and make changes. Thank you.
