Artist's Comment: A clean OS-replacement skin, including three versions. Simple - Standarad Windows titlebar buttons; Standard - Extra buttons for 'Always on top', 'Roll-up' and a customizable apps menu using WBWinMenu 2.1; Plus - Extra titlebar buttons, plus a WBAmp bar with track title display and multi-format clock.
Also now includes custom color versions of all three skins, allowing for all colored parts of the skin to be changed to any other color.
This is the final major release of the 'dinks' skin for WindowBlinds.
Everything should be working perfectly now, but bug reports are welcome. Too many changes to list here, but most of the skin has been re-built and tweaked to incorporate as many suggestions by users as possible.
Additional base color schemes will be made available on www.grayhaze.com.
WinAmp and ObjectBar skins under development.

grayhaze, what is the interest of doing multiple colored versions since there's a custom version to customize the colour ?? |

I love the green! keep up the great work. |

The idea behind the multiple colors, neophil, is that while a custom color version is included with each base color version, due to certain limitations with this feature of WindowBlinds up to this point, the custom color version isn't quite as clean as an individually hand-crafted skin. This includes the inability to modify the Windows appearance colors to match those of the custom color skin, despite this feature being documented. Also, if you take a look at the outlines around text on the custom color version, they have had to be set as a single standard color, regardless of the custom color selected. Hopefully these shortcomings will be fixed in future versions of WB, but for now I'd rather everyone has a 'perfect' version of the skin in their choice of color. Hope this clears it up for you neophil and you'll stop bugging me now. ;-)) |
