Materials:
- Staedtler/MARS mechanical pencil loaded with Staedtler/MARS HB2 lead
- Extra smooth jet black ebony (shadows and contrast)
- Sanford eraser stick, Staedtler gum eraser
- Strathmore acid free drawing paper
- Various blending stumps
- Total time: 7 hours
Notes:
I drew this the evening Dale Earnhardt died, (Feb. 18, 2001, last lap of the Daytona 500). He was holding off the other drivers so his son (Dale Jr.) and Michael Waltrip could battle it out for the finish line. The man had class...
