Artist's Comment: I don't exactly know where to begin with this, except I was in a beautiful place with a camera.
The Van Gogh exhibit was in Atlanta's High Museum for a few months, and I visited a couple week ago. For Christmas, I got a new digital camera, and I was longing to experiment with the Long-Time Exposure feature, because I've seen amazing things done with it. Half my family had gone through the exhibit already (ironically enough, I'm the art student, and I zoom through galleries..). I was looking into this beautifully architectured room. Blue walls, yellow floors, and bright windows. A man walked by, and I had my camera ready...
Voila.
I love it. Not only is the subject hardly there, I managed to capture a color scheme of sorts. Can anyone pick it out? If I could upload the full size.. the details are very surreal. Unfortunately, it'd be much too big...

I do agree the light setting is just brilliant, but imo you could have done the image without the man and without the "shacked" effect. But I really love the blue and yellow . |
