ART DETAILS
"Raining Red"
Featured in Today's Auction is the Mosaic Stained Glass Piece ~ "Raining Red" by Artist Tami Barker.
This piece was recently entered into an Art Contest in Salem Oregon "Something Red." It was featured in The Historical Reed Opera House through the month of December 2004 along with several other beautiful pieces of art work.
ABOUT THE ART
Several pieces of broken Glass have been carefully applied ...... providing a basic black and smokey grey/blue base (background) with red clear balls of glass along with a few round shaped (double sided) mirrors ......... establishing the theme ~ "Raining Red."
These pieces of broken glass have then been grouted (black grout) and sealed and applied to an old vintage window. The window frame has been painted with an enamel finish (slight crackle effect ~ red underneath with black top coat).
This piece of fine art captures the feeling of a stormy night where there is heavy rain in a dusky night fall. This is truly a beautiful piece and the pictures do not do it justice.
MEASUREMENTS: The measurements of this piece are 19" across and 38" inches long. Attached at the top are hooks with a bronze chain for hanging.
The pictures illustrate this piece hanging on an overhang of a deck. This beautiful piece is mystical during the day when the daylight rays hit the glass and at night when street and car lights reflect off the glass.
This is a piece that can be enjoyed and admired for many years to come.
It can be hung inside of a window in a house, on a deck overhang or in a special place in your garden or home.
Please visit my site for many other special intricate pieces of stained glass/mosaic Window Art.
