Thanks. Well, the preliminary sketch was done in pencil, but all the coloring and effects are done digitally with my paint program.

Great skill in the use of light sources and technical execution. The tilting of his head and the consequent impact of the light creates that dark dramatic mood/tone within the piece.

What's the go with your colours these days?lol I will usually see purple and green in your works. Is this just aesthetic preference or has it more to do with consistency in your work?

tam - Thanks. I'm still working on the actual piece so the textured parchment won't be in it once I upload the finished work here.
mark bartle - My colors? lol. Well, it actually has to do with a little of both. I use purple and green because the world of Sorche (my fantasy novel) is primarily set in an atmosphere filled with variants of those colors. But I also use it because I enjoy the aesthetics of the complimentary colors as well.
