Stev - Because she's a fantasy being. Bright glowing eyes tend to appear like that, at least when you dispel reality and use imagination instead of logic.

Oh well, it's because she is immersed in mist. I could have made it cover more of her body, but then all of that wonderful detail would have been obscured.

My turn. It's been a busy weekend, but I had to pop on and see what was posted, I'm really glad I did. This is amazing stuff, hard for me to describe, but I'll try. Her form is well stated and proud. Excellent use of color, shading and yes, "lens flair". The feathers on the wings make me come back again and again, the time spent on this piece was well worth it, thanks liquidd.
