Artist's Comment: Drawing was one of the first subjects introduced to us in college, there we were shown how to use numerous lines to create the outline of an image. Ironically, the use of an eraser can aid in defining this outline. This act of erasure is a form of masking, hiding the messy bits while disclosing selected information. We all hide behind a mask, be it our facial expressions or our clothes, a non-verbal use of communication.
