Also did you mean 'face to face' [which would rhyme with place]
or was 'fate to fate' a deliberate play on words.

Beautiful sentiment! The wording is wonderful and I understand the "fate to fate". People don't often realize that each person in a relationshop shares their fate with the other, whether they want to or not.
