Artist's Comment:
Final product created with Photoshop CS, with Wacom Graphire 2 tablet and mouse.
Named after the Greek goddess of war (and a bunch of other shit), Athena is a character from Uniwar (now called "Athena Project"), a Flash game I am creating. She was created by some badguys as a prototype super solider of sorts combining human dna, various animal dna, and mechanical parts. She'll normally be wearing a "gothic" looking cape in combat. I was originally going to give her a trenchcoat but we all know "matrix" is the first word that comes to mind with black trenchcoats in a future world.
Some things to note:
-She's not Human, note the reptilian eyes and obvious green skin
-She's drawn in a cartoon style, not realistic, big eyes, yadda yadda
-That nose still needs some work, expect an update with it fixed soon
-This is my first REAL attempt to draw a character in photoshop with using as little filters and layer styles as possible. the only time i really had to bust out some layer styles was a few bevel effects on the lips and there were a few gausian blurs used to lessen the intensity of the shine marks on the cape
-Yes, I drew this first, scanned it, and colored in photoshop
-I absolutely hate outlining, hence why there isn't any outlines
