i like the color but in my mind it would have been nice to see a little more depth or detail

Character design and perspective are both beeautiful, but I agree with faceless_wanderer about more depth. Perhaps more darker and richer coloring at the bottom of the page gradually getting lighter as it moves upward could effectively give that illusion of depth.
