Artist's Comment: I originally did this with the intention to have my makeup show up. A lot of makeup (and also hairspray :-x. . .) went into this look. I put blue and silver over my eyes, and even used an eyeshadow crayon (blue again) over my lips. But, it did not show up well in the color photo. So I decided to use some gradients and desaturizations in photoshop CS. Also, the symbol on my hand is a photoshop brush from [ link ] (If I've violated any rules about reusing brushes, please let me know and I will erase the symbol.)
