Artist's Comment:
Ahhhh, i totally enjoyed working on this

Story: In the year 2717, the Firestarter returns. The firestarter had already attacked mars 3 80 million years ago, and now it's Earth's turn The few remaining humans try to make a desperate escape, while the others simply accepter id as Armageddon.

This was another experiment of mine. I thank scissors hands for giving me hints on how to airbrush
the airbrushing included the flames and the nebula

the planets and moon were made with 3d studio max, and the earth used a composite texture of both earth and mars (to get the red, burnt look)

the ships were made with 3d studio max as well
i feel that they could use a little more work, but im new at this so i wasnt expecting any professional results
finally the flames on earth were made with flax flame 2 from Kaio Power Tools (photoshop plug in)

it took me about 5 days, and this is my first real introduction to airbrushing, and i must say that it was mad fun, finally the tablet was put to good use

feedback is most welcome, since this is an experiment and i would like to know how can i improve my skills.

enjoy

Amazing, the spaceship on the right looks a little flat though. Otherwise, i cant find a flaw. excellent. cloud4
